According to statistical studies, the population of Panama was counted at 4,176,869 people in 2018, compared to 860,000 in the year:1950.
It is important the fact that the proportion of the population under the age of 15 in 2010 reached 29%. 64.5% of the population was between the ages of 15 and 65, and 6.6% of the population were people aged 65 or over.

Languages
In Panama several languages are spoken, Spanish is the Official Language and the most important. The local variant is Panamanian Spanish.

Indigenous languages include Guaymí, Kuna, Northern Embera, and Teribe. Creole from Bocas del Toro is also spoken.
