Culture in Panama
Panama is a country with a rich and beautiful cultural tradition.
Its origins come from the fusion of diverse cultures: European, American, African, Middle Eastern, Eastern, etc.
Because of this, the culture of Panama has a special touch, in regards to its music, cuisine, art, etc.
Who does not know Rubén Blades, this brilliant Panamanian musician, whose music transcended the borders of Panama.
We can also mention the famous Roberto Durán, whose life reached the Hollywood screens. This famous boxer defeated the legendary Sugar Ray Leonard, in Montreal, Canada.
As for the cuisine, it is worth highlighting El sancocho, rice with chicken and pork, seafood soup, patacones (“crushed” banana) with fish, among others.
In the painting the following are very important: Manuel Encarnación Amador (1869 1952), Alberto Dutary (1928-1997), Etanislao Arias Peña, (1952 -2003), Adriano Herrerabarría1 ?, Roberto Lewis. Pablo Runyan or Rodolfo Antonio Méndez Vargas.
In literature, León Soto, Ricardo Miró, Gaspar Hernández, María de Obaldia, Demetrio Korsi, among others.
