Payments of fines and voluntary returns will only be made at the SNM headquarters
The National Migration Service of the Republic of Panama (SNM), made public knowledge to its users and lawyers that the procedures related to voluntary return or fines can only be carried out at the main headquarters of the institution.
These procedures (voluntary returns and payment of fines) must be carried out 7 days before the departure of the foreigner or the date of his voluntary return, in such a way that they can be processed in the corresponding time or period.
The National Migration Service clarified that the payment of fines will no longer be allowed at the Tocumen International Airport.
It is important to note that the National Immigration Service of the Republic of Panama reiterated that people who apply for Voluntary Return to leave the country have a 5-year entry bar to Panama.
However, those who have Panamanian children or married to Panamanians, do not maintain an entry barrier, but they do register with an internal alert.
