Panama residency requirements 2021

The government of Panama has created several laws which make possible to foreigners to obtain legal Panamanian passports and then obtain residency.

It is important the fact that these laws have been created to promote foreign investment in Panama which benefits the local environment or local economy of the Republic of Panama.

In order to apply for the immigration programs that offer permanent residency, the person interested must be inside one of the following categories, which have been created to get a Panama permanent residency which then after 5 years you become eligible to get citizenship.

Some of the the programs available are the following:

  • Friendly Nations Visa
  • Business Investor
  • Persons of Means Visa
  • Retirement Visa
  • Reforestation Visa
  • Panama Golden Visa
