Opening of the land border by Costa Rica.
Requirements established by Panama.
The National Migration Service informed Panamanians and foreigners that, from April 5, 2021, Costa Rica will open its land borders to tourism, in the same way that Panama currently has opened them.
Therefore, people who want to visit Panama must then comply with the usual pertinent immigration requirements such as having a return ticket from the airline, financial solvency, be successful in the interview that they will hold with the immigration inspectors at the window, and obtain a negative COVID 19 swab test result.
The entity responsible for regulating the entrances and exits of the country, told that will continue until further notice the humanitarian trips respecting the rules already established.
The National Migration Service also reported that as of April 5, they will restart the delivery of neighborhood permits to Panamanian citizens and residents of this country in order to be able to go to Costa Rica under that figure of neighborhood permit, with the difference that a daily quota of neighborhood permits will be established to be issued, both in Paso Canoas and in Río Sereno, so that, as of the reopening date, the following amounts will be delivered each day:
PASO CANOAS: 50, RÍO SERENO: 25.
