The formalization of teleworking in Panama is mandatory. According to Law 126 of February 18, 2021.
The company and the Teleworker must make an agreement, which must be registered in the Labor Department of the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development of Panama.
Said contract will emphasize establishing the terms of the remote employment relationship, that is:
1. If the working day will be full or partial.
2. Time in hours of the working day.
3. Description of the functions to be performed.
4. Subsidies if there is space, for public service expenses
