PURSUANT TO AGREEMENT N 141 OF OCTOBER 20, 2020, FROM JANUARY 1, 2021, TRANSFER CARDS ARE MANDATORY IN THIS PROCEDURE.
Establish the process for the transfer of the owner of a vehicle to another owner and that the record is generated both in the Municipality system and in the ATTT.
This process applies to private or company vehicles.
Requirements
- Unique original Vehicle Property Registry and one (1) copy.
- Vehicle Inspection Certificate of the original current year and two (2) copies.
- Two (2) copies of valid identity card or passport of the seller and buyer.
- Copy of the transfer card.
In the absence of the Seller and / or the buyer:
- Transfer card duly notarized and authenticated. The transfer card must be signed by both (on the transfer line).
- The buyer must bring a notarized authorization note.
In case the seller and the buyer are present:
- Transfer card duly notarized and authenticated, regardless of whether both parties are present. The transfer card must be signed by both (on the transfer line).
- They carry out the transfer at the universal window.
- If the transfer is carried out by a third party, a note or authorization letter from the seller must be presented, on plain paper, duly notarized and a photocopy of the identity card or passport of both (seller and the processor).
Legal person:
- Transfer card signed by the Legal Representative of the company. (The signature must be updated and registered in the database of the Municipality of Panama) Notarized.
- Authorization letter on company letterhead, and signed by the legal representative.
Observation: In all cases, present an original and faithful copy of the documents.
(Printouts of scanned documents and printed photos will not be allowed.)
