Here is a compilation of some of the main estimates made by the Panama Canal for fiscal year 2021. The Panama Canal has a preponderant importance in the movement of merchandise by ship worldwide.
- Regarding the liquid bulk segment, this will generate 29.5% of the Canal’s toll revenue in FY 2021. 146.4 million tons CP / UMS will transit through the Canal 97
- It is estimated that LPG vessels generate B / .273.2 million in toll revenues
- It is anticipated that the dry bulk segment will generate approximately 13.0% of the total revenue from Canal tolls for FY 2021. The decrease with respect to FY 2020 is estimated at 1.4% in terms of transits and 0.7% with respect to segment revenue
- Regarding the vehicle carrier / RoRo segment, it will generate 6.9% of the Canal toll revenue in FY 2021
