Retiree Visa
You are retired or have a pension for life, so you can qualify for the pensioner visa in Panama.
This visa will allow you to obtain a residence in Panama, under the condition of having guaranteed pension income for life. According to the National Migration Service of Panama, there is no age restriction to qualify under this modality.
Foreigners who receive some type of retirement from a foreign government, international agency or private agency, who enter Panama with the purpose of living and demonstrate that they have the resources and economic means to cover their expenses and those of their dependents, they will be able to request the pensioner visa, they must take into account that their monthly income or pension cannot be less than one thousand US dollars and this must be guaranteed for life.
Once all the required documents have been consigned, the National Immigration Service will issue in favor of the applicant, once the procedure is approved, the Pensioner Permanent Residence Card.
Important: all documents submitted in a language other than Spanish must be translated by an official certified Panamanian translator and for the processing of the application at the National Immigration Service, the applicant’s passport, and in case they have dependents, the dependents’ passports must be valid for more than six months and all applicants must be present at the time of the application before the Panama Immigration office.
