Non-Resident Visas – Temporary Resident in Panama
This type of Non-Resident Visa is granted to any foreigner who occasionally enters the country, without the intention of establishing residence or abandoning the status of the place of their country of origin, while they are in Panama, and must have their own economic resources and enough economic resources.
Requirements to obtain the Non-Resident Visa
The National Immigration Service of the Republic of Panama establishes the following requirements, depending on the type of Visa you wish to obtain:
a) Short Stay Visa in Panama for merchants and investors by Special Laws.
This permit is granted to foreigners who enter Panamanian territory to analyze investment possibilities or carry out transactions in export processing zones, Call Centers or specialist areas designated for the development of the film and audiovisual industry.
Requirements:
1) Fill out the visa application form.
2) Bank reference from an internationally recognized bank or proof of economic solvency.
3) Copy of passport or travel document.
4) Return ticket to your country of origin, valid for a term of one year.
b) Seafarer Visa in Panama.
It must be processed by the sailor who enters the national territory as a crew member of a ship with an international navigation license.
Requirements:
1) Fill out the Sailor Visa.
2) Valid passport.
3) Copy of the Bill of Lading.
4) Copy of Boarding Book.
5) Copy of Sailor License.
c) Short Stay Visa for Business in Panama.
With this Visa, the foreigner will be able to enter the territory in order to establish foreign subsidiaries, carry out transactions and public tenders.
Requirements:
1) Proof of economic solvency of the applicant, with a minimum of five average figures.
2) Demonstrate purpose of the trip and conditions of stay for business.
3) If the destination is to establish a subsidiary, you must prove the existence of the foreign company.
4) Letter from the legal representative of the foreign company to establish subsidiaries.
5) Copy of the passport.
6) Air reservation of the trip itinerary.
7) Residence card of the country where you live.
8) Three photographs.
9) Hotel reservation.
