HOW TO REHABILITATE MY PERMANENT RESIDENCE IN PANAMA.
If you are a foreigner with Residence in Panama, but you stayed outside the country for a period of more than 2 years and less than 6 uninterrupted years, you will need to rehabilitate your Permanent Resident permit.
You will be able to protect yourself under Resolution # 17405 of the year 2019 and request a Rehabilitation. Said request must be submitted through a legal representative.
THE REQUIREMENTS YOU MUST PROVIDE:
- Copy of the general passport generals.
- Copy of the registration stamp.
- Copy of the authenticated card (Identification Office of the Electoral Tribunal).
- Sworn statement before a notary public (stating the reason why you were absent from the country).
When entering Panamanian territory, you will have 30 business days to submit your request.
Those foreigners who have obtained their permanent residence in Panama through the Treaty of Friendship or through the Immigration Regulation are exempt from this procedure.
