Government of Panama accepts expired Venezuelan passports.
Since December 2019, the Government of Panama accepts expired Venezuelan passports as valid documents for carrying out immigration procedures within its territory. Said measure establishes that Venezuelan passports whose expiration date is not greater than two years must be accepted as valid for two years plus.
This will allow Venezuelans whose passport has expired to do any type of immigration and legal procedure before the Panamanian authorities.
This decision was made on the grounds that a large number of passports of Venezuelan citizens have expired or are due to expire.
However, this measure does not apply to enter the national territory, unless this person already has an immigration procedure in force in Panamanian territory.
