It is the most international and multitudinous event organized by the Catholic Church throughout the world.
The Pope, who presides over these Days, summons the young people of the planet once every three years. It is the Pope Francis who chooses the place of the next meeting and the theme of the WYD, guiding both the way of preparation and the celebration of the next.
In addition, he presides over the celebration in the presence of bishops from all over the world.

Applying for a visa for pilgrims of the World Youth Day Panama Immigration Laws

The Presidency approved the procedure for applying for a visa for pilgrims of the World Youth Day (WYD), who reside in countries where there is no Panamanian consulate. Panama Immigration Laws were adapted for this event.
This was reported by the State’s communications secretariat in a statement.
President Juan Carlos Varela established in an executive decree the procedure, which states that the pilgrim enrolled in the event must apply for his visa in the form of JMJ 2019 on the website of the National Immigration Service.

Requirements for a visa for pilgrims of the World Youth Day

As requirements, the applicant must attach:

  • the tourist visa form,
  • a scanned passport, with a minimum of three months of validity
  • the payment receipt of registration in the WYD of the group to which it belongs
  • the certificate for the visa application, all validated by the general coordinator of the WYD.

The coordinator must corroborate that the applicant belongs to the group indicated and must include confirmation by the diocesan Bishop or his delegate. It is mandatory to present the air reservation with itinerary back to the country of origin.
Once the Migration service receives the request, it will be sent to the National Security Council for its corresponding procedure, if approved, Migration will send an email to the diocesan Bishop, Episcopal Conference and delegate of the group; with the respective authorization and the reference number for the applicant.

Exoneration of the payment of 60 dollars

The delivery was made by the President of the Republic Juan Carlos Varela, in the framework of the II Preparatory Meeting for WYD Panama 2019, in which it was reported that international pilgrims and volunteers who come to the country for this meeting, will be exonerated of the payment of 60 dollars in concept of Migratory and Consular Services, as long as they have their registration certificate in the event.

Kimberly and her team are top professionals!

Kimberly and her team are top professionals, I am a founder and CEO of a prominent advertising agency in Canada, I decided to come down to beautiful Panama, as I am now semi-retired. I know a Pro when I see one, the difference between Kimberly and her team is essential, they troubleshoot! Any law firm can take you through a process, in my case, it was immigration, which means we are dealing with the Government, things never go perfectly, there is always room for their interpretation, I witnessed Kimberly and her amazing colleague Johanys troubleshoot, on the spot! and Get it done! These are the people you want to entrust such an important process if you are planning to come and stay here. I highly recommend this team to anyone and would gladly speak to anyone about my experience. Thank you Kimberly and Johanys, because of you, I am now a resident. Muchas Gracias!
